WVU+kc, along with other systems and manual processes, will be replaced by a modern, integrated electronic research administration (ERA) system designed to streamline submissions with an enter-once approach.

All business processes will be reviewed to ensure alignment with R1 research processes. This will include working to integrate workflows with other departments (partners) that have roles in reviewing and approving research.

Integration of other systems used for research administration and compliance to decrease duplicate data entry and provide the needed information to reviewers and approvers in a timely, automated manner.

The new system will offer user-friendly reporting and support data portability. The Research Office and Institutional Data and Analytics will ensure clear definitions, data integrity, and accessibility.

The Research Office and the project team will provide multiple training opportunities for the research community in the form of vendor training, videos, and website guidance.
