Sessions

Audience: Research Community

Duration: 2 hours

This session will guide researchers through the process of creating and submitting a proposal, preparing a budget, and completing the SF424. Participants will also learn how to navigate WRAP, assign and manage ancillary reviews, validate, certify, and submit funding proposals for department review. The session will also cover responding to change requests, sending proposal status updates, addressing Just-in-Time (JIT) requests and high level award features.

Archived Agreement Overview Session

Audience: Researcher Community, Executive University Leadership, Full Time Non-Classified Faculty/Staff (those who submit Outside Consulting forms)

Duration: 1 hour

Description: The session will cover the process of updating COI disclosures, responding to clarification requests, reviewing and accepting management plans, and submitting pre-approval requests. The training provides a step-by-step guide to navigating the WRAP COI module tools, ensuring that participants are able to comply with institutional policies and manage potential conflicts effectively. This session will cover the new process for submitting financial disclosures in Research COI,  Institutional COI, as well as Outside Consulting.

Archived COI Disclosures Session

Audience: Investigators, coordinators, regulatory, and all other research team members

Duration: 1 hour

Platform: Zoom or in person

Description: These sessions will demonstrate how to navigate the WVU Research Administration Portal (WRAP) for the Center of Excellence (COE) registrations. This training will cover the COE registration process while navigating the new online submission system. All three sessions will cover the same material. Just a reminder that attendees will also need to attend the training provided by the WVU Research Office to understand the entire portal.

Description: This session will guide participants responsible for conducting the specialist review of proposals. Participants will learn the step-by-step process of reviewing proposals after they have been approved by the department and have entered the specialist review status. The session will cover assigning specialists, reviewing proposals, requesting and verifying changes, modifying ancillary reviews, submitting proposals to federal sponsors and responding to just-in-time (JIT) requests, and updating proposal statuses based on sponsor determinations.

Archived Session

Duration: 2 hours

Description: This session will focus on the processes involved in creating and completing awards in the WRAP system. Participants will learn how to create an award, notify needed departments of proposal status changes, and manage the award setup after sponsor approval. The session will cover managing award allocations, reconciling award budgets, establishing advance accounts, creating sub-awards, and managing related agreements. This session will also guide participants through the processes of initiating and conducting award reviews, requesting and responding to changes, submitting final reviews, managing award modifications, handling ancillary reviews, and award closeout.
