DMPTool: The California Digital Library
(CDL) provides a free DMPTool to assist in creating a plan. The CDL service
has developed templates with guidance to assist in creating a plan when using
the tool. The DMPTool is free. WVU encourages PIs to use the DMPTool as soon DMS Plans will need to be in machine readable format.
ORCHID iD: WVU strongly recommends creating an ORCID iD. This free service aims to support
the creation of a permanent, clear, and unambiguous record of research and scholarly
communication by enabling reliable attribution of authors and contributors.
*SUB-AWARDS: In most cases the primary recipient will be responsible for the DMS Plan even if WVU is generating and storing data in support of the research. However, the primary recpient may require information about WVU's practices to complete the DMS Plan.
